Practise you need to register your Asus production in order to get warranty?
One of my friends but got burned by another company that had limited warranties unless you registered the product.
I just built a new organization with an Asus motherboard (Maximus IX Hero) and video carte du jour (1080 Turbo). Practise I need to register these products online to get a warranty? How long is the warranty on these?
What about my CPU? (Intel Core i7) or RAM? (G.Skill) Anyone know if those crave registration besides? I besides have hard drives from HGST and Samsung, I don't suppose anyone knows about those as well?
I know Corsair doesn't crave it because I just got warranty service done on a half-dozen-year onetime PSU by them (7-year warranty).

Moving this to full general give-and-take every bit information technology should not be posted in this section.
For extended warranty it'southward usually required that yous register your production and upload copy of purchase invoice. If you don't annals your production and so the warranty offered is commonly just the default, not including any extended warranty offers and based on manufacturing date through Due south/Northward check.

As far as I know, if y'all go along a re-create of the invoice, nosotros can usually utilise that for the warranty date in the U.S. every bit long as it'south from an 'authorized reseller' (used or second-hand items would non reset the warranty start engagement, etc.), so that should requite you lot a little more fourth dimension.
Otherwise, if you lost or don't have the invoice, we should be able to bank check the 'manufacturer' warranty from the serial number. If you have the interest, contact ASUS support and requite them your serial number to find out how much warranty you lot have (and ask if you need to register while you are at information technology?) which would be the manufacturer warranty without the invoice.
And so contact them again or reply to tell them you lot have the invoice and give them the details of whom information technology was purchased from and the invoice purchased date to find out your warranty with the invoice if you're interested. Not certain if all the other regions follow the aforementioned process, just expect many do since products do sometimes sit down in the warehouse for a while before being sold.
