The Uncharted Movie Gets Another Delay, This Time Until 2022

Sony Pictures has confirmed that the Uncharted flick, which was scheduled for release in July this twelvemonth, has been delayed until Feb xi, 2022. Uncharted joined Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Cinderella and Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway in this recent batch of delays.

The movie has already had a troubled production cycle. Uncharted saw a number of director changes within the early stages of development and has already subsequently faced a handful of delays. This delay, caused by the COVID pandemic, is just another in a string that the movie has had thrust upon information technology. The movie was originally scheduled to release back in 2022.

The good news for excited fans is that filming on the motion picture has already wrapped. It was confirmed back in October, along with a tease of Mark Wahlberg'southward Sully, that master photography was complete and therefore the pic would be inbound the side by side phase of product.

Released at the offset of the year, the official Uncharted Twitter account showed off four new images which included a map and a range of other mysterious items.

The series, which is based on the original game, will exist written and produced by Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann and Chernobyl's Craig Mazin. It was also recently confirmed that directing the show would exist Russian filmmaker Kantemir Balagov.
